Vehicle Types
Vehicle Types are used to define the types of vehicles used in your company. If a vehicle type is used to perform routed or dispatched services, then it must be associated with the appropriate Route Type. The association is used by the system to prevent assigning an incorrect vehicle to a route, for example, assigning a recycling vehicle to a trash route. You can create new entries in the table, or existing entries can be edited or made inactive.

Note: Route Types need to exist prior to adding Vehicle Types.
- Click Add for a new Vehicle Type or Double Click on an existing vehicle type in the grid to recall and modify.
- Enter a unique 2-digit code.
- Active will be enabled automatically.
- To render a vehicle type inactive, remove the active setting and save.
- Enter a unique Description of the Vehicle Type.
- Select all Route Types applicable to this Vehicle Type.
- Click Save and repeat for each vehicle type for your company.
